Isola prediletta di Giorgio Armani, Pantelleria era conosciuta in passato come “Figlia dei Venti” a causa delle forti brezze che soffiano senza
requie. I selvaggi paesaggi dell’isola sono costellati da caratteristiche costruzioni chiamate giardini panteschi, cilindri realizzati con blocchi
di pietra per proteggere gli alberi d’agrumi. L’essenza di Pantelleria si riflette nella carta da parati dello stesso nome, dove il disegno irregolare
richiama l’effetto pietra su uno sfondo che imita le onde create dal vento sulla superficie marina.

One of Giorgio Armani’s favorite islands, Pantelleria was known in the past as “Daughter of the Winds” because of the strong breeze always blo-
wing. The wild landscapes of the island are studded with typical constructions called panteschi gardens, cylinders made with stone blocks to
protect the citrus trees. The essence of Pantelleria are reflected in the wallcovering of the same name, where an irregular design recalls the stone
effect on a background imitating the waves the wind creates on the surface of the sea.
