Ponza è caratterizzata dalle sue coste frastagliate, ricche di rocce e scogliere a picco sul mare. La sua vicinanza a Roma la rese luogo dove i
patrizi costruirono ville dall’aspetto geometrico e austero, in accordo con l’aspra natura dell’isola. La forte presenza di linee squadrate è re-
plicata sul parato, che mostra un disegno damier destrutturato in più varianti di colore su fondo a garza di lino.
Ponza is famous for its jagged shores, rich in rocks and cliffs overlooking the sea. Located not too far from Rome, it was chosen as the location
for some patricians’ villas, defined by a geometric and austere look reflecting the harsh nature of the island. The strong presence of squared lines
is replicated also on the wallcovering, showing a deconstructed checkered design in many color variations on a linen gauze background.
